Field Trips

Don't we love field trips? The kids get to be involved and really learn stuff! A school in Minnesota loves field trips as well. These middle school kids went to the state government offices and PROTESTED against welfare reform. Here they were, 11 to 13 years old, protesting with signs and slogans at the capitol, as a field trip. The parents did not know exactly what was going to happen, allegedly. Interesting. This is not learning so much as indoctrination. Please, do you think most of those kids knew what they were actually doing? Do you think most of them even really understood the complexities of the issue? It doesn't matter what the issue, most of these kids are too interested in sports and video games than in politics at this age. Middle school kids are usually too young to really understand the social complexities of politics. Sure there are some really politically aware young students but ALL of them?

  1. Disgusting.

And there are still people who do not believe that, whatever their stated purpose, the public schools main function is social engineering.

Hardly a surprise, really... they are government run, taxpayer funded.
