Busy Busy

As a middle aged woman with a kid still in college and elderly parents, I am smack dab in the middle of the "sandwich generation." Not only do I have my own nagging middle age health issues but I also am helping my parents with their "more mature" issues! Yesterday was doctor day for us with a visit to my dad's dermatologist for a skin cancer removal, then on to my own doctor for some female stuff. Fun. Gotta love getting older!

We have family visiting from up North so will be busy for a few days. We're showing them the sights of beautiful Lake County Florida, where the cows outnumber the people! :)

Today will be Woody's BBQ, a visit to Tavares (the county seat), the Yalaha bakery and then on to Lagniappe Brewery for a cold one. As home brewers of both beer and mead we like to see what small brewers have to offer. Oddly enough I am excited about going to Tavares since I have never been there. We're basically having a good, old-fashioned Red Neck day!
