Our small local library, part of a larger county library system, is moving into a new location in mid-August. Lucky for me, the new location is less than 1/2 a mile from my house. Right now, the old library is still loaning books, but the return date is August 17th! So much more time to read the books without renewing! My daughter and I have gone book-wild! I believe she is up to about 14 books checked out and I have two. I have also been reading some of the 14 she has checked out as well! (the beauty of living three blocks from each other: book sharing)
I am currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I am about halfway through so I can't really review it yet. This is a thrift store book that my daughter bought for 25 cents! I love the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store! My next library book, which will also be my next book, is the second in the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I also have the third, no sense in trying my luck getting the book later. I have read Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty which was pretty good and I have the next one, Second Helpings. These also are library books. We have a lot of books ready for the reading! Bring on Summer!
