Home schooling. Who DOES that? I couldn't be with my kids ALL day long. I can't teach them things like algebra. I look forward to the start of school. They will not know the REAL world. How will they socialize? You're a smart cookie but studies have shown......

These are only a few of the responses I received from people when I told them I was going to home school my kids who were then 10 and 13 years old. Now, why on earth would someone think to talk to me this way about my education choice for my kids? I have no idea! No one said to me, "I wouldn't want my kids around a bunch of NUNS all day" when we put them in Catholic school. So what's wrong with kids being with a parent all day? Sheesh!

My blog is about home education, education in general with a little politics thrown in for good measure! I will offer some tips and ideas plus keep up with what is going on with home education in Florida, where I live, and also around the country!
